Contained and connected capability: adaptation that enters service only when it proves its worth

The CWM's adaptive block now operates behind an evidence-based decision: no arbitrary thresholds, no behavior change while switched off.

There is a difference between having a capability and knowing when to use it. Version v0.10.2 addresses exactly that at the Camile World Model: the adaptive block — the one that adjusts the forecasting strategy to context — is now wired to a decision mechanism that watches recent performance and only puts it into service when it proves a real advantage on the data.

No hand-picked thresholds or rules of thumb: the ruler is the evidence of the very series being forecast. And while the switch stays off, the model's behavior is identical to before — the change is 100% backward compatible.

Qué cambió

The adaptive capability is now served conditionally: the system tracks performance and decides, at each moment, whether the adaptive strategy enters or stays out.

The criterion is strictly comparative with no arbitrary parameters: demonstrated advantage in the numbers, or the strategy is not used.

With the capability off, results are bit-for-bit identical to previous behavior — a condition verified by automated checking.

Qué permite ahora

Enabling adaptation stops being a bet: it becomes a decision with auditable evidence for or against, moment by moment.

Operations requiring absolute stability can keep the capability off at zero behavioral cost — and turn it on when it makes sense.

Por qué importa

Intelligent systems that change behavior without justifying the change are hard to operate and hard to trust. v0.10.2 establishes a principle: a new capability only enters service with the evidence in plain sight — the same rigor the CWM applies to its forecasts, now applied to its own choices.

En la práctica

In practice, CWM operators get a switch with awareness: enabling adaptation requires no recalibration and accepts no blind risk — the model demonstrates the advantage on their data or keeps the previous strategy, and the decision state is always inspectable.

Límites

The conditional decision depends on enough history for the comparison to be meaningful — on very short series, the model honestly keeps the default strategy.

Conclusión

The best capability is the one that knows how to wait. v0.10.2 turns the CWM's adaptation into something activated by merit — and kept by evidence.
